At the invitation of the AIMF (International Association of Francophone Mayors),
Ms Stéphanie Scailquin, Alderman for Urban Planning, Territorial Development and Ecological Transition, represented the City of Namur at the Cities Dialogue on Smart Cities held in Phnom Penh.

This international forum brought together local leaders from Cambodia, Vietnam, Korea and Singapore to discuss urban innovation and digital transition challenges.
Ms Scailquin presented the NID (Namur Intelligent & Sustainable) initiative, as well as several flagship projects that make Namur a smart, resilient and sustainable city.

“Our challenges are the same, even if our local realities differ. This dialogue made it possible to consider networking the spaces dedicated to the cities of tomorrow.”
— Ms Stéphanie Scailquin, Alderman of the City of Namur

The event coincided with the inauguration of the Phnom Penh Smart City Hub, a space dedicated to urban innovation and collaboration between public, private and citizen actors.
This project, part of the “Phnom Penh 2025” roadmap, reflects the capital’s commitment to using innovation to build a sustainable and inclusive city.
The Smart City Hub is co-financed by the AIMF, the European Union, and Wallonia-Brussels International (WBI) through the AIMF Cooperation Fund.

Over the course of two days, participants shared best practices and sustainable solutions to strengthen inclusive urban governance, improve access to essential services, and foster citizen participation, placing human capital at the heart of smart cities.
