2026 | Works by students of the Academy of Fine Arts of Namur exhibited in Tokyo

Expo Tokyo 2

As part of the Art Beyond Boundaries 2026 arts festival, works created by students of the Academy of Fine Arts of Namur were exhibited at the National Art Centre, Tokyo, from 22 January to 1 February 2026.

This exhibition presents works of art by children and young people from many countries, illustrating the power of art as a universal language that transcends cultural boundaries. Thanks to the collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts of Namur, the works of students from Namur reached a wide international public.

The exhibition opened on 22 January 2026 and an official ceremony was held on 31 January at the Embassy of Belgium in Tokyo, in the presence of Belgian diplomatic representatives.

The organisers expressed their strong gratitude for the contribution of Namur and highlighted the keen interest shown by the Japanese public in the exhibited works. A 3D virtual tour of the exhibition is also available online, allowing everyone to discover the creations presented in Tokyo.

This participation reflects the commitment of Namur in favour of international cultural exchanges and support for young people’s artworks, as part of its partnerships and international relations, particularly with Japan.
