“La Célestine” Library welcomes a miniature reproduction of the artwork Fleuves

The “La Célestine” public library in Namur is now home to a miniature reproduction of Fleuves, a symbolic artwork celebrating the longstanding friendship between the cities of Namur and Québec.
Created by the Namur-based studio Superbe, Fleuves is a digital artwork presented by the city of Namur to the city of Québec as part of the twinning agreement that has linked the two cities since 1999. Unveiled in 2023 at the Gabrielle-Roy Library in Québec City, the artwork is a luminous installation inspired by real data from the Meuse and the St. Lawrence rivers, highlighting the connection between the two waterways.
The installation of this miniature reproduction at “La Célestine” now gives the people of Namur the opportunity to discover a smaller version of this emblematic artwork, reflecting the cultural exchanges and close ties between the two partner cities.
The miniature reproduction was also presented to the Mayor of Québec City during his official visit to Namur. During his visit, he was introduced to “La Célestine”, a venue inspired in part by the Québec experience and conceived as a space for culture, community and social connection.
