As part of the City of Namur’s partnership project with the Congolese NGO Pasco, with the support of Wallonie-Bruxelles International (WBI), medical equipment donated by Hospital Without Borders (HWB) was handed over to the NGO during the City of Namur’s mission to Masina (Kinshasa) in late September 2026.

The donation follows a meeting held in Namur between Mr Michel Lay, coordinator of the NGO Pasco, and Hospital Without Borders earlier in September. The discussions helped identify medical equipment that could meet the NGO’s needs in carrying out its activities in Masina.

Equipment to Support Healthcare Activities on the Ground

In early September, Hospital Without Borders handed over a box of medical equipment to the City of Namur’s International Relations Office for transport to Kinshasa.

The donation includes thermometers, blood pressure monitors, stethoscopes, pulse oximeters, a laryngoscope, an otoscope and a head torch, as well as equipment for patient care, minor surgical procedures and gynaecological care.

Provided as a humanitarian donation, the equipment helps supplement the resources available to the NGO Pasco for its healthcare activities among the people of Masina.

The equipment was handed over to the NGO on 29 September, during the City of Namur’s technical mission to Masina as part of the 2022–2026 phase of the Municipal International Cooperation (CIC) partnership between Namur and Masina.
