2025 | Namur Public Centre for Social Welfare welcomes La Hutte (Terrebonne, Quebec) to strengthen social cooperation

Visite Hutte - EN AVANT

From 14 to 17 December 2025, Namur Public Centre for Social Welfare welcomed a delegation from La Hutte, an organisation specialising in supporting homeless people in Terrebonne, Quebec. Mr François Savoie, General Manager, and Mr Samuel Long, Internal Training Manager, attended this meeting as part of the 2024-2026 collaboration agreement between the two organizations, a partnership aimed at improving prevention and intervention for people experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity, and inadequate housing.

This mission provided an opportunity for exchange, mutual inspiration and progress on projects related to both social and health issues. During their stay, the Quebec delegation took part in several key moments, including a full-day event organised by the Namur Social Platform, bringing together more than 150 stakeholders from the social and health sectors; institutional meetings with the Municipal Executive of the City of Namur and with Minister Yves Coppieters; as well as exchanges with frontline teams, including the Night Shelter, the social emergency unit, the social integration service, and Cinex. The mission also included a meeting with the Federation of Public Centres for Social Welfare, allowing for the sharing of experiences and best practices at the regional level.
