2025 | Visit of the Rector of the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières

On 7 March 2025, Ms Charlotte Bazelaire, Acting Mayor of the City of Namur, welcomed a delegation from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR), led by its Rector, Mr Christian Blanchette, and Ms Audrey Tessier, International Development advisor. The meeting took place in the presence of Ms Annick Castiaux, Rector of UNamur, Mr Jeroen Darquennes, Vice-Rector for International Relations at UNamur, and Mr Steve Lanners, Professor and UNamur Representative within the Vertech City network.

This meeting formed part of the collaboration protocol linking the City of Namur and the City of Terrebonne (2024-2026), to which both universities are associated, and of the dynamics of the Vertech City network.

Exchanges focused on strengthening university cooperation, academic mobility and the development of shared projects in innovation and ecological transition, highlighting the importance of partnerships between cities and universities within the French-speaking world.
