2026 | Quebec companies in Namur in May: a partnership between the street arts festivals Réverbère and Namur en Mai, which has been ongoing since 2024

Within the framework of the 2024–2026 cooperation agreement between the City of Namur and the City of Québec, a Quebec delegation was present in Namur on the occasion of the 2026 edition of Namur en Mai.
This presence is part of the ongoing partnership between Namur en Mai and Réverbère, a street arts festival held in Québec. This collaboration began in 2024 during the first edition of the Réverbère festival, which was attended by the organisers of Namur en Mai and Les Bonimenteurs, and continued during the 2025 edition of Namur en Mai with the hosting of an initial Quebec delegation..
The 2026 edition marks a new stage in this cooperation, with four Quebec companies programmed within Namur en Mai. A meeting brought together Ms Charlotte Bazelaire, Acting Mayor of the City of Namur, Hélène Drainville, the Quebec artistic teams, and Mr Marc Gourdeau, artistic adviser to Réverbère.
The meeting highlighted the importance of cultural exchange between the Cities of Namur and Québec, as well as the role of street and fairground arts as spaces for collaboration, artistic dissemination, and international mobility for companies.
The four Quebec companies featured in this edition were:
• Théâtre à tempo / Combat (Québec)
• Quatuor Stomp / What’s next (Québec)
• Tenon Mortaise / La Guerre des boutons
• La Fille du laitier / Caisse 606
Thanks to financial support from the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, highlighted by Samuel Chapelle, Director of Namur en Mai, exchanges between the two festivals are helping to strengthen ties between the Cities of Namur and Québec. They reflect the shared commitment of both cities to promoting international artistic collaboration and encouraging the circulation of artists.
