2026 | UCCN : Namur and Cali engage in a dialogue around Crowd Expo

A meeting on the occasion of the KIKK Festival
On 23 October, on the occasion of the KIKK Festival, the City of Namur’s International Relations Office, Namur’s focal point within the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN), met with Rafael Erazo, founder and creative director of Kaleido Lab, who travelled from Santiago de Cali (Colombia). Like Namur, Cali is a UNESCO Creative City in the field of Media Arts.
Crowd Expo, a collaborative digital art platform
Crowd Expo is a collaborative digital platform that aims to connect cities within the network through media arts. The project seeks to encourage citizen participation, cultural exchange and collaborative creation between UNESCO Creative Cities, including Viborg (Denmark) and Guadalajara (Mexico).
Rafael Erazo has prepared a special version of Crowd Expo, inspired by Namur and Cali. The landscapes of Namur feature traditional characters from Cali, rafts inspired by those that sail along the Cauca River, and tropical birds from Colombia. In return, people from Namur are invited to contribute their own characters, symbols and stories, which may in turn travel all the way to Cali.
