Bourg-en-Bresse (France)

Bourg-en-Bresse is a town on a human scale, ideally situated at the crossroads between Lyon and Geneva. It is the prefecture of the Ain department in the Rhône-Alpes region.

Namur and Bourg-en-Bresse share common interests such as vocal music, agri-food and higher education. After a number of exchanges, including participation in the Floralies de Bourg, the Salon de l’Alimentation de Bourg and the Festival Musical de Namur, the two towns decided to set up an intermunicipal protocol in 2012. In addition to regular cultural exchanges, we should mention the signing of an agreement between the Haute Ecole of the Province of Namur and the IUT of Lyon 1.
