Description
The town of Ogaki is located in Gifu Prefecture in central Japan. It has a resolutely international outlook and encourages young people to open up to foreign cultures.
Relations between Namur and Ogaki began in 1993, but have been recurrent since 1999, when a youth exchange (aged 12-18) has been organised annually, alternating between the two towns.
In 2019, the two towns expressed their desire to develop their partnership in other areas, such as municipal management, tourism and cultural infrastructure. A draft exchange protocol is currently under review.
