2026 | “Namec”: a vinyl record resulting from a co-creation residency in electronic music between two artists, from Namur and Quebec

The vinyl record “Namec”, the result of a collaboration between Namur-based artist Antoine Moureaux (Aemone) and Québec artist Loup Ferschke (LOU FRE$H), has just been pressed in a limited run of 500 copies. This project strengthens cultural ties between the cities of Namur and Québec, which have been twinned since 1999 and are both members of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the fields of digital arts and literature.
A meeting born of an artistic residency
This vinyl is the outcome of a collaboration that began in October 2024 during an electronic music residency in Namur. Antoine Moureaux and Loup Ferschke shared a performance at the Creative Village of the KIKK Festival at that time. This encounter laid the foundations for a joint creative project between the two artists.
Un projet porté par l’expertise de partenaires clés
The success of this exchange relies on the involvement of key partners. Samuel Vanden Heede, programme curator at Le Delta in Namur, supported Aemone throughout the process. Meanwhile, Éric Lefrançois, Director of L’Ampli in Québec, drew on his network to coordinate logistics and communication between the artists and the organisations in both cities.
Le Delta and L’Ampli de Québec at the heart of the project
The project embodies a collaboration between major cultural partners. Le Delta in Namur hosted the 2024 cross-residency. L’Ampli de Québec, for its part, mobilised its network to coordinate logistics and communication between the two cities. This collaboration helped streamline exchanges between the artists and the institutions, ensuring proper recognition of the project. The return residency in Québec in 2025 enabled the completion of this remarkable collaboration (made possible through a grant from Wallonia-Brussels International).
The City of Namur supports the project with a 500-copy pressing
The City of Namur wished to give tangible form to this artistic journey, which is why the EP “Namec” was pressed in 500 copies. These vinyl records will be distributed to various institutions and DJs to ensure wide dissemination of this collaboration.
